| Ovation! has a lot going on in January! Show Choir concerts, Pirates of Penzance auditions and our next youth musical theatre class starts - Peter Pan! Tickets are On Sale Now for Enough of Silly Love Songs - Show Choir Concert!  Join our show choirs - GLEE and Voce' - in their Winter 2012 concert Enough of Silly Love Songs - two shows only - Wednesday and Thursday, January 11th and 12th at 7:00 PM at the BHS Theatre (9330 NE High School Road on Bainbridge Island). Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at Winslow Drug on Bainbridge, online at www.ovationmtb.com, by phone at 206-842-0472 or at the door (as available). Last year's concert was a standing room only smash so we've added a second show this year. This fully choreographed concert is sure to be a season highlight! Ovation!'s show choir program is part of the Ovation! Performing Arts Academy and is under the direction of Todd Hulet. Auditions - THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE 
For a complete list of parts and vocal ranges, visit www.ovationmtb.com. Performance dates are June 15-July 1, 2012 at the BHS Theatre on Bainbridge Island. As are all Ovation! productions, Pirates will be presented with a live orchestra. The production will be directed by Ron Milton with musical direction by Todd Hulet and choreography by Babette Gazarian-Cherne'. Rehearsals will begin on February 28, 2012.
For the audition, prepare a song from musical theatre, opera or operetta (in English) and bring piano music in your key for the accompanist. Please, no pop, rock, folk or karaoke numbers. In addition to the principal and supporting roles, this staging will feature a large chorus of daughters, pirates and police. There will be parts in each chorus for youth performers age 8+. Ovation!'s Performing Arts Academy is pleased to announce our Winter 2012 musical theatre class - PETER PAN!! Classes meet January 24-March 8, 2012 – Tue and Thur - from 415 to 545PM at Ovation!'s Classroom Studio (600 Ericksen on Bainbridge Island). The instructor is Todd Hulet, Ovation!'s Director of Music and Education. J.M. Barrie's magical tale of pirates, Indians, pixies, and mermaids will capture the imagination of any young performer. Through exploration of characters and songs the class will develop a short adaptation of this classic tale. The class will culminate in a performance for parents and friends on March 8.
