"Ovation! Performing Arts returns to the stage this July with our sensational concert show, “Diamonds in the Rough”! Not every Broadway musical runs for years, or even months. But there are so many less successful musicals which have songs that are worth singing -- songs that we call Diamonds in the Rough. Join us as we celebrate Broadway and our return to the Bainbridge stage with your favorite local performers! Only two shows, on July 22nd and 23rd, so get your tickets now!"

PLEASE REVIEW OUR ATTENDENCE REQUIREMENTS BEFORE THE PERFORMANCE 

* We are now performing at the BPA Theater located in the Bainbridge Cinemas, 403 Madison Ave. N.

*Every guest must check-in at the vaccination and ticket station in the lobby prior to the show.

*Please remember to bring proof of vaccination for each guest. Those who require medical exemption may contact Ovation! at the time of online ticket purchase at info@ovationmtb.com to ensure your comfort and accommodation.

*Concessions are not permitted inside the BPA theater at this time, but are available for consumption in the lobby.

*We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes in advance of the performance to allow for check-in.

*If you feel unwell, please email us at info@ovationmtb.com for a refund or a credit to a future Ovation! performance. 

MEET THE PERFORMERS

Ross Eide
Ross Eide

Ross Eide has been involved with Ovation! in various capacities for nearly eight years now. His first show with Ovation! was Pirates of Penzance, where he played Boatswain’s Mate Second Class. Since then, he has gone on to play Inspector Kemp in Young Frankenstein, Luther Billis in South Pacific, Unnamed German Tourist in Mamma Mia!, and Conrad Birdie in Bye Bye Birdie. In his spare time, he is working to perfect the Site-to-Site Transporter.

Dan Engelhard
Dan Engelhard

Dan has enjoyed performing musical theater from Tacoma to Bainbridge for some 30 years. At Ovation are some of his favorites as Tommy in Brigadoon, Professor Higgins in My Fair Lady and Emile de Becque in South Pacific. Dan recently retired from federal service and is looking forward to next and new chapters.

Margaret Johnston
Margaret Johnston

Margaret Johnston is thrilled to be back on stage with Ovation!, singing some of her favorite songs with some of her favorite people! Her last show was "All Together Now!" at the Admiral Theatre in November 2021. Previous shows include "The Pirates of Penzance" (Edith; Ovation! 2018); "Sweeney Todd" (Ensemble/Featured; Ovation! 2017); "A Little Night Music" (Mrs. Segstrom; WWCA 2016); "HMS Pinafore" (Ensemble; Ovation! 2015)

Myriah Riedel
Myriah Riedel

Myriah Riedel has been in many Ovation! Shows such as, Nelly in South Pacific, Peter in Peter Pan, and Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady. She is happy and excited to be back on stage for "Diamonds in the Rough"!

Peter Vosshall
Peter Vosshall

Peter has been performing with Ovation! since 2015, portraying Dick Deadeye in H.M.S. Pinafore, Mr. Bumble in Oliver!, Frederick Frankenstein in Young Frankenstein, and Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd, and playing bass in the orchestra for several shows. Peter also sings with the Island’s Amabile Choir and Men’s Compline Choir and is the bassist for Buckshot, a Bainbridge Island-based 4-piece string band. Away from the stage, Peter serves on several local boards and is an avid runner and rower.

Maelini Whitehorse

Maelini has been in countless shows since the age of 4. Her last time onstage was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at CSTOCK in 2015. She is very excited to be back onstage and this is her first show with Ovation!

Chris Smellow
Chris Smellow

Since moving to Bainbridge Island in 1982, Chris has served as a musician at several local churches and taught many memorable piano students. She was the accompanist for the Bainbridge Chorale for several years, and has accompanied musicals for Ovation, Bainbridge High School, and Bainbridge Performing Arts. Her current claim to fame is playing spooky organ music each Halloween in downtown Winslow.
