High School 8-Week Intensive Musical Theater Workshop
Start Date: (Mon.)Feb. 24th (Dates 2/24, 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, 4/13, 4/20) *No meeting during spring break.
Time: 4-5:30pm at the Ovation rehearsal studio
Performance: TBD (Possible Dates 4/24-4/27th)
Details: This 8-week intensive musical theater workshop is designed to teach students the techniques of singing musical theater repertoire in a healthy way while working to combine acting and movement skills in a group setting to enhance their performance ability. Students will work on scenes from musicals as well as group numbers. Solo and ensemble singing will be possible. Students interested in directing could also have the opportunity to direct scenes. A final performance will be given in full costume for an audience.
Middle School 8-Week Intensive Musical Theater Workshop
Start Date: Wed. Feb. 26th (Dates: 2/26, 3/4, 3/22, 3/18, 3/25, 4/1, 4/15, 4/22)
*No meeting during Spring Break
Time: 4:00-5:00pm at the Ovation Rehearsal Studio
Performance: TBD (Possible Dates 4/24-4/27th) *Probably same time as HS group
Details: This 8-week musical theater workshop is specifically designed for the middle school student. Students will work on short musical theater scenes with a focus on vocal technique and singing as an ensemble. Opportunities for solo and small ensemble singing will be available. Students will focus on acting technique and well as vocal health for the changing voice. The workshop will culminate with a final performance with costumes for an audience.
