Ovation! Performing Arts Academy Fall/Winter 2015-2016 Schedule
Ovation!'s Performing Arts Academy (OPAA) holds three sessions a year - Fall/Winter, Winter/Spring and Summer!. Each session features a roster of classes designed to provide opportunities for all ages. All classes and rehearsals are held at our studio, conveniently located at 600 Ericksen, Suite 103 on Bainbridge Island.

The Northwest Young Actors' Studio
Auditions are September
The Northwest Young Actors' Studio is under the leadership of Ovation!'s Artistic Director, Ron Milton. The program is designed to provide education and performance experience for talented emerging actors 7th grade and up. Audition required. To schedule an audition, email info@ovationmtb.com. The program will begin September 14 and will present TABLE SCENES in November - famous table scenes from plays and musical theatre. In April, they will present Into The Woods, Jr. (through special arrangement with MTI).
Acting for the Stage
Two programs - 3rd and 4th, 5th and 6th AND our new program for Chimacum middle school students.
Acting for the Stage is taught by our lead instructor and Artistic Director, Ron Milton. The program is designed for specific age levels and explores many aspects of the performing arts including scenes and dialog, accents, stage combat, makeup, puppetry, mask work and more. On Bainbridge Island, two classes meet for early dismissal. The Chimacum Middle School program meets on Wednesdays after school.
Youth Acapella Ensemble
Auditions are September 9 at 4pm!
We are delighted to be launching a youth acapella ensemble under the direction of the wonderful Kelli McAuley! An experienced educator, musician, performer and choral director, Kelli is delighted to be forming this new ensemble. Rehearsals are Tuesday and Wednesay from 4-530pm. Adult Vocal Ensemble
Auditions are Wednesday September 10 at 630pm.
Ovation!'s Adult Vocal Ensemble has a new director - the amazing Caroline Pierce! Caroline served as Music Director for our critically acclaimed production of HMS Pinafore and will be doing the same for Oliver! She is a highly skilled musician and choral leader and is delighted to be a part of this growing program. The ensemble rehearses Wednesday evenings from 630-830pm and focuses on standards, jazz, pop, showtunes, holiday songs and more. Email info@ovationmtb.com to set up a simple audition.
Winter Break Theatre Camp
Plan now for Winter Break!
Ovation!'s Artistic Director and Lead Instructor Ron Milton leads this active, engaging camp designed for 5th grade and above. Camp is held 2/15-2/19/16, M-F, from 1-5pm. The session ends in a demonstration for friends and family. Campers will learn about the performing arts through theatre games, stage combat, scene work, Shakespeare and much more.
Spring Break Glee Camp!

Ovation! is bringing the wonderful Todd Hulet back again to run our Spring Break Glee Camp. No audition is necessary to experience a week of singing and dancing that ends in a performance for friends and family. There are four sessions, 1st grade through adult.
